Parasailing in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh

Not many people know this, but you can actually parasail in Bangladesh. 🇧🇩

Even though parasailing is a very common beach activity across the world, it is fairly new in Bangladesh. People who come to visit don't really think opportunities for a thrilling outdoor activity like this can exist in such a small country. Even people living here don't really know that there's a dedicated parasailing point right here in Cox's Bazar.

Fortunately, last month, I had the opportunity to visit Cox's Bazar and experience it firsthand.

To make sure you don't miss this amazing experience of flying along the longest sea beach in the world, I'll share the details of my recent parasailing experience here.

Where is it?

Parasailing Point is right across DariaNagar Sea View Park in Himchari, just 3-4 kilometers from the main city of Cox's Bazar. It took me around 15 minutes to reach there from city's Dolphin Square.

How to go there?

If you have a car, a drive along the Marine Drive road would be amazing. But if you don't want to bring your car or drive yourself, you can hire an Easy Bike or Auto Bike from almost anywhere in Cox's Bazar. Since they drive slow, you would be able to enjoy the Marine Drive and the sea all the way.

CNGs and minibusses are also available on the route. But I'd suggest taking an Easy Bike.

Who offers the parasailing experience?

There are several crews in Cox's Bazar to help you with the necessary equipment and support. The one I used is called Fly Air Sea Sports Parasailing.

How much does it cost?
As of March 2022, they have two packages.

  1. 2000 BDT per person for just air gliding and
  2. 2500 BDT per person for air gliding with a partial sea immersion experience.

In case you are wondering if this is safe or not, here's a video of me taking off and landing safely without any harm.

Now that you know how convenient and safe parasailing is, next time you visit Cox's Bazar, don't forget to experience this flight along the world's longest naturally forming sea beach.
